Hi there! My name is Preeya Sillan and I’m glad you’re here. I am passionate about people, plain and simple. One of my favorite quotes comes from Brene Brown: “Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.”
She embodied my goal as a therapist - to help others bravely acknowledge & accept their story while building loving relationships with themselves. My desire is to provide a secure space for you to explore and embrace your story and develop a healthy, loving relationship with yourself.
I am an associate licensed mental health counselor license #MC60697726). I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University in 2016. I have been working in the mental health field for about 8 years in all sorts of environments. My experience includes community mental health, family counseling, play therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, working in schools, tobacco cessation and personal development.
I’ve lived in Seattle my whole life and am thankful to have grown up in such a beautiful city surrounded by nature. I love being outside, traveling, reading, martial arts (Brazilian jiu jitsu and muay thai), meeting as many dogs as possible, live music and spending quality time with family and friends.
